It reminds one a little of Germany and in other respects a little of France. And indeed, Colmar, also geographically, lies right on the border between these two great nations. One of the most enchanting cities in Europe, Colmar is a small jewel of Alsace, nestled at the foot of the Vosges mountain massif, nicknamed Petite Venice because of the bridges and canals that make it truly magical and romantic. The beauty and atmosphere of the city enchant in every season, but it is in autumn that it takes on an even more fascinating allure. Being located on the Route du Vin, the famous Alsace Wine Route, crossing the streets winding through the vineyards characterised by the warm colours of foliage is a truly breathtaking spectacle.

How much does it cost to visit Colmar? Prices, offers and tips
A stay in Colmar is not one that can be described as cheap. As far as flights are concerned, there are hardly any super offers and it is recommended to land in Strasbourg or Baden-Baden, which are connected by direct flights to Italy.
Once you've reached your destination, if you don't just want to stay in the country but want to explore the surroundings, it is strongly recommended to rent a car (one week from €118.00). In this case, we recommend the purchase of the Pass-Alsace, with free access to 56 tourist sites in Alsace! To get around Colmar on foot, we recommend the 2-hour Segway tour to get acclimatised in the city!
For accommodation, unless you are going to sleep in Strasbourg where the big international establishments are also to be found, in Colmar there are more like small to medium-sized guesthouses of a good standard with prices starting at €50.00 per room. For food, prices are in the European average: a dinner in a good restaurant is around €25.00/30.00 per person, even more if you drink wine. If you are a wine lover, we recommend the one-day wine tasting tour from Colmar!
